Standard Shower Outlet

Standard Shower Outlets (drains) are robust wet room drains with horizontal or vertical spigots and a height no greater than 160mm. Guaranteed for 10 years.

Caroflow Standard Shower Outlets (drains) are available with vertical or horizontal take-off and are small enough to be installed within the space formed by 150mm joists. Draining at a constant rate of 0.75 l per second they provide a full 50mm water trap.

What are the Shower Outlets made of?

These Caroflow Shower outlets bodies and trap sets are manufactured in pre-treated, electrostatically powder coated diecast LM6 aluminium silicon alloy to BS 1490:1970. All fixings are stainless steel.

Dimensions and Connections for the Shower Outlets

Both the vertical and horizontal versions allow direct connections to 40mm (1.5 inch) solvent weld pipe BS 5255 or to a push-fit EN 1329 using proprietary pipe manufacturers fittings. The dimensions of the horizontal or vertical shower outlets can be seen in the images at the top of the page. Please note; We recommend you allow an extra 5mm depth (total 160mm) to accommodate the mouth of the outlet.

Performance Rating

Caroflow Standard Shower Outlets have been tested and achieve a constant flow rate in excess of 0.75 lites when connected to a 40mm (1.5") pipe.
