Hotel Bathroom Renovation – The Barn Hotel
Despite having an Old World exterior, The Barn Hotel in Ruislip offers it’s guests a comfortable, modern experience on the inside. Their eleven hotel bathrooms were beginning to show signs of their age, both aesthetically and functionally, with the bathrooms throughout also featuring more traditional layouts. When they decided to commence a full bathroom renovation, they wanted to provide their guests with an open, luxurious and stylish shower experience: in line with the comforting experience provided throughout the rest of the hotel.
The Fully Renovated Bathrooms
Having 11 wetrooms to renovate – one of the reasons they chose us was the quality and track record of our shower tray formers and tanking system, knowing that we would provide a long lasting solution. They were also drawn to our bespoke capabilities for creating custom, made to measure shower tray formers to fit the unconventional bathroom spaces.
The Hotel bathrooms were to be fitted with floor to ceiling tiling, modern double basins and large baths, so the showering area needed to be something special. The layout of the rooms meant that a standard shower tray former wouldn’t work and so they needed to look for a bespoke option; this they found in the form of the Aquatecnic Made-to-Measure Wet Room Shower Tray Former.
Custom Shower Tray Formers
Aquatecnic can produce shower tray formers of almost any shape or size – if it is physically possible to make they will make it. Each made-to-measure shower tray former was individually designed by an Aquatecnic Technical Expert and once approved, the formers were manufactured and on site within 10 days. Aquatecnic Shower Tray Formers are made from 24mm birch ply which provides a rigid and stable showering area and comes with excellent ecological credentials. The formers are coated with Aquaproof Tanking which is CE approved and has been rigorously tested for use in wetrooms.
Summary
The bathroom renovation was undertaken by Vascroft Contractors Limited and each showering area was tanked using the CE approved Aquaproof Tanking System; guaranteeing a leak free showering area for years to come. The full bathroom renovation was completed successfully in 2006, and the owners of the hotel were thrilled with the results – receiving a large amount of positive feedback from their repeat customers, complementing the upgraded hotel bathrooms and their impact on the stay.
