Sustainable Pallet Deliveries with HVO

Our delivery partners at Chamberlain Transport are fuelling sustainable pallet deliveries with HVO – (hydrotreated vegetable oil) for it’s local Palletforce collection and delivery vehicles. They’re aiming to reduce annual carbon emissions in excess of 150,000 kg through making this change. This initial switch for local deliveries and collections is part of a six month trial prior to considering a wider expansion to it’s fleet of forty vehicles.

Domestic transport contributed to 28% of the UKs total greenhouse gas emissions in 2022, with the total rising from the previous year. The change to sustainable fuel will help massively in decarbonising their fleets, helping to realise short to medium term sustainability goals whilst transitioning to electric vehicles in a longer term push for net zero.

Simon Chamberlain, managing director at Chamberlain Transport, said: “We must start somewhere, so what better place than in your own back yard? By targeting the areas our trucks visit regularly, where we live, work and go to school, we can make our surroundings the cleanest possible for the people that matter most.” Read Greenfleets full article here for further information – Chamberlain Transport switches Palletforce fleet to HVO | GreenFleet
